Romans 8:26

Pray with Me!

This week I have received some very specific prayer request. Prayer request are always important but this week the requests were all very heart wrenching. It was not for just the everyday things (not that they are less important or that God does not care about these things because he does) these requests were for testing for cancer, parents that were sick, difficult pregnancies, the loss of a child, a miscarriage, the economy, no job, trying to find a job, fixing to loose a job. My heart has been burdened daily for all of these requests. I feel like I am not doing them justice with my prayers. With some of the requests I don't even know where to start. I start praying and my mind goes blank. Not because I am not sincere...I just don't know how to word these requests. I know that God knows what I am asking for but is this good enough.
Yes! Yes, Praise God it is!

Romans 8:26 - Likewise the spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

I went to this verse many times when Kenny's dad passed away. It is such a powerful and comforting verse. God knows what our pains and needs are and He will take care of us. When John passed away sometimes all I could say was Dear God...but because of this verse I knew that He was hearing what was in my heart.

I want to ask for special prayer in this most glorious time of year. Let's keep JESUS in the forefront of all of our celebrations! Let's pray daily for all of the families that are hurting. Help me to uplift the request that I have mentioned.

God is so Good!

We must know the same people!! I feel the same way... so many people... so many burdens... don't even know where to start praying. I find comfort when I can't even find the words that He's carrying them up there for me. Will be praying for your requests as well!!

This is very helpful to me today, Debbie. We too have been overwhelmed with the saddest of situations on every front (illness, jobs, depression, financial, marital, etc.). Thanks for the reminder that He knows.
