Praising Jesus in my PJ's

This morning I needed something and I was not sure what...did I need praise music or maybe just a hymn. I went through many, many songs. I just couldn't get my fix. I finally landed on some good old country gospel. I listened to Alan Jackson sing Amazing Grace, Standing on the Promises, and one of my favorites that my father in law used to sing In the Garden. I listened to Martina McBride belt out How Great Thou Art and Wow! what a blessing that was this morning. I found some songs by Randy Travis. I listened to Softly and Tenderly, Baptism and Three Wooden Crosses. Then all of a sudden I came across one of my all time favorites. This is not a christian song but it always brings a smile to my face. Kenny sang this song to me on the way to Gatlinburg for our honeymoon. Crazy choice of songs to sing to your new bride. We have laughed about this for years.

This morning I am praising Jesus in my PJ's for giving me an AMAZING husband! This is what I needed this morning, laughter from a song that brought back so many wonderful memories.
Thanks God!!! You are awesome!!!

Have a BLESSED day!

God is so Good!

Hey Debbie,

I love all the songs you mentioned. The Christian CD by Alan Jackson is wonderful. My hubby and I were going somewhere once and he had that CD in and he told me there is a song that I always think of you when I hear it. He clicked over, me not knowing what he was getting too and it was the song...I want to stroll over heaven with you some sweet day...I couldn't help but to tear up. That was the sweetest ever. Not sure if you know the one I'm talking about or not.
Sometimes I just keep clicking until I find just the right song. All this week I have played the song by the McKameys, Between twelve and thirty-thee. Have you heard it? I think it is great.
The song that your hubby sang to you was funny. I actually like that song too. Can you tell I love songs/music? You mentioned Gatlinburg, we usually try and go to Pigeon Forge at some point every year and get a cabin. This past year we just rented a hotel room close to the outlets. Our driving distance to there isn't too long so we like to take those short trips to just get away sometimes.
Okay, I wrote you a novel. Glad you found those songs to lift your spirits. Gospel music is my favorite, of course I love southern-gospel and that seems to be getting played less and less on the radio..thank goodness for CD's.

Blessings,

Gigi

There's something about this that "just ain't right" if you know what I mean.

I know what you mean...sometimes I just need the right song to get me going. I turn on Klove on the radio as soon as my feet hit the floor...and like you, some mornings I am dancing in my PJ's. I think God probably gets a big kick out of that.
