Spiritual Warfare

**First posted 3/30/09. Took off due to comment but I feel like this comment was just part of warfare and my struggle.**
OK, the first thing I am going to say is I may get too personal but I just have to lay this out not really for you but for myself and maybe so that satan knows that I have his number. I know what he is doing and I will not give up or step back from what I believe in and what I love..."GOD"

As most of you know I am part of a church that split from a church I had been to for ten years. Most of our members had been to the previous church for 15 or more years. We have started a new church Providence Baptist Fellowship and I feel like we have been put in the cross hairs of "satan". Satan would like nothing better than for us to fold and go away. If we would just say we can't do it. But guess what my GOD is not the author of confusion, but of peace. Satan wants us to be confused to take our focus off of what is important GOD!

I started this post on the 10th of March. I had been struggling and kept telling satan to step back. Stay away from my church, my friends, my family, my community. The harder I try to put "God" FIRST the harder things seem to become. SPIRITUAL WARFARE is real and I can feel GOD wrapping his arms around me and saying, "be strong I AM WITH YOU!"

Through all of the struggles the past several months and especially this past week I will still give all of the Praise to God! I know that everything that has happened as hard as it has been to understand is all for HIS GLORY! AMEN!! I will not let satan steal that from me and most of all steal the GLORY from our Almighty Father.

God is so Good!

What is really wrong? Is it the death of Jeremy or is something else causing you this pain and anger? Take care-

There is nothing that satan wants to do more than to tear up a God believing church. If satan is working that hard, then something must be going right in the church. God is good and he will always prevail. May God put a hedge around your church, you and all those that are working to lift up the name of Jesus.

I left the comment from anonymous to show "warfare" little comments like this can cause you to remove your eyes from God and I nearly let it happen.

That comment does not even deserve an answer. We all know that satan has a target on our backs and I feel sorry for "anonymous" that they felt the need to make a comment, which is just proof. To God be the Glory!!!!

Debbie..Seems you and your "friends" who left a wonderful church are having trouble getting away from Satan..maybe that should tell you something..You followed Satan, (your Pastor)he threw you a curve and now you think you have to sit and over analyze everything in your life..How do you have time to do God's daily work if you are sitting and analyzing every breath you take...Yes, you split from a church who had sheltered for many years..there are others who it has sheltered for many many more years than you..and they saw right through Mr. Danny Garret and the people who yelled, screamed, and acted very unChristian..NOW WHO IS SITTING BACK GRINNING. You old church is moving right about PBF..I will agree with you 100%..God is good, he is fair, and maybe someone is getting their just desserts...Have a blessed day.

First I want to apologize for offending you but I feel you have missed the whole point. If you are one of Gods children doing Gods work you are in satans cross hairs. My anger is more at myself for letting satan get my focus off what was important...Building His Kingdom.

Me, you, PBF and THBC are all going to be in satans cross hairs if we are building His kingdom.

I am so happy that THBC is moving forward. PBF is on fire for God also and we are excited about our future.

Once again I am sorry for making you so angry and for offending you.

Our church has been through so many struggles and trials in its short existence, but clearly God is doing great and mighty things at Providence Baptist Fellowship. We are blessed that God is sovereign and He is able to use both good and bad to bring glory to Himself. The fact that people would choose to rejoice over someone's sins, and then celebrate the hard times that we have gone through is hard to fathom. Especially since Jesus said that the mark of true discipleship would be loving one another. John 14:35 states, "By this people will know that you are my disciples, that you have love for one another." It is clear that whomever is writing under the guise of remaining anonymous has not come to embrace the true power of Jesus to love others more than themselves. Because if they truly loved other people they would not wish harm on anyone and would not be celebrating. We need to pray for this person specifically as we continue to pray that God will use both THBC and PBF in the future. God can and will be glorified through both churches. He is the author and finisher of our faith and above all else we must continue to praise Him and give Him glory no matter what. Thank you for your open and honest sharing. Know that I am blessed to have you in my life and I love our church! God is great all the time.
