Are you a WORRIER?

This morning I logged into my blog and went to reading some of my favorite blogs. The first one I came to and the last one I read was Walking on Sunshine. Lois puts a scripture up every Saturday. Today verses Matthew 6:25-33 comforted me because I am a worrier. Are you a worrier? This verse lays it out as clear as a freshly cleaned glass table.

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:25-33

Every time I have read this it gives me a since of peace. Why worry... So many times I want to take things into my own hands. I worry that things won't get done the way I feel they need to be taken care of but then I read verses like this and I just want to praise Jesus for providing. I don't need to worry I just need to lay my worries at His feet. God always provides what we need. Amen!!

God is so Good!

I am such a worrier!!! That's why those verses spoke to me! Phil was in between orders and we missed almost a whole pay cycle, then his not getting paid for this past weekend just really sent me! But God is faithful and I need to lean more on His faithfulness than my own understanding!! Thanks Debbie! I hope you have a blessed week leading up to the day that celebrates our Saviour's resurrection!!!

Hey sweetie!!
Like Bobby McFarrin says...which is actually a Biblical paraphrase..."Don't worry be happy"!! :o) I have found that worry is a thief that just steals my joy, so I really guard against it as much as possible. I do still slip into it though!!

Hope you have a great week full of blessings!!
Joy to you friend!!

Hi Debbie,

God is faithful to us. He will not put on us more than we can bare. We may think we can't, but through his strength we can do all things. He is mighty and so powerful and he wants us to lay all of those burdens and worries at his feet. I always tell my mom to spend the time she worries talking and praying. We just have to lay it down and let him lead us.

Blessings to you,

Gigi
