Amazing How God Works

God knew that I needed to be kept busy last night and boy was I ever busy and very occupied. The white screen is due to me getting the wild idea to change my lay out when I was tired and stressed. Note to self...don't try this again. lol! During this process at one time I had lost my whole blog...couldn't find any of it...needless to say I was upset. Not that I think my writings are so great but because this blog has been my diary over the past year and I knew that I could never replace all that was here. I also could not replace the bible verses that went along with my posts. The bible verses really broke my heart. They tell a story also of where I was when I started and where I am now.

I guess it was about two hours into this nightmare when all of a sudden I found my bible verses. There they were...I started trying to print them but for some reason I could not get them to print. I grabbed a pen and some typing paper and started writing. I wrote the date and the verse next to it. As I was jotting this down I would read the whole verse on my computer and before long I was calm. God had taken something that I was so upset about and calmed my storm. I had been really stressed about Jan and her arteriogram and also my dad. He is going tomorrow for some test on some places that they think is skin cancer. By the time I had wrote the last verse God had told me no matter what He is here to see us through. Wow!

Not long after I finished writing I found the rest of my blog. All of a sudden it was just there!
Remember the Doctors today as they are doing there procedures not only on Jan and dad but every one that is going through a scary time.

God is so Good all the time!

I don't know what I would do if I lost my whole blog! You're making me think I should somehow back it up in a Word document and folder on my hard drive. At least the text content. I'm like you, I feel as if my blog is my online diary and would be crushed to lose the past year. I'm glad you found your blog and the verses! I hope all goes well with your mother-in-law and your dad today. Remember God has everything in control and He knows everything you're going through and most importantly, He cares!!! Keep us updated!

Sweet Debbie, you always say just what I need to hear. Thank you for the reminder to just let Him wash me with His word. It is calming and centering and such a reminder of who I am in Him when I'm caught up in the cares of this world. So thankful He showed Himself to you last night. Sometimes He uses the funniest things to help us get our focus on.

Still praying for Jan and now for your dad too. You have experienced so many trials this year. You are loved!

Hi Debbie, So glad I stopped in!! Jan was my Mom's name, so it will be easy to remember to pray for her.

You are such a sweetie. Do you mind if I put you on my blog roll in my sidebar? I visit from there, and will be reminded when you post.

That blog thingy scares me, too. So glad you were able to recover it!! They say to back it up. I don't know how to do it, though.

Blessings and hugs to you,
Becky

Debbie, I'm glad you didn't lose your blog! Just a suggestion--go into all your posts and cut and paste into a Word document. I actually type all my blog posts in Word first and then post. That's how I was able to put my 2008 posts in book form--Early Onset Blog: Essays from an Online Journal (avalable on Amazon.com)

Hope all the medical procedures work out fine. I spent last week "testing". They all turned out fine but when I went in for a checkup, my blood pressure was way high. Now, I'm on medication for that and a whole new round of side-effects.
